FireCat Group d.o.o. is the data controller for processing related to the 6th Sense System unless your organization (e.g., your employer or agency) is identified as the controller. In that case, FireCat acts as a data processor providing cloud infrastructure and device management services.

2. Data We Collect

The 6th Sense device and mobile app collect only operational and sensor data necessary for real-time situational awareness. This includes:

Device and Sensor Data:

GPS and assisted GPS location
Motion patterns (e.g., walking, running, idle, lying down)
High-G impact events
Heart rate and oxygen saturation (SpO₂)
Device connectivity and battery level

App and System Data:

Device ID, firmware version, and cloud connection logs
App configuration settings
Timestamps of alerts and alarms

No personal data (such as names, photos, or personal identifiers) is stored on the device itself.

Users or organizations may assign generic usernames or anonymous identifiers (e.g., “Alpha”, “Bravo”) within the app to ensure privacy compliance.

3. How We Use the Data

The collected data is used solely for:

Providing real-time monitoring and safety alerts to authorized supervisors
Displaying user activity and status within the app
Analyzing device performance and safety patterns
Maintaining secure and reliable operation of the 6th Sense System
Complying with applicable legal or security obligations

We do not use collected data for marketing, profiling, or commercial resale purposes.

4. Legal Basis for Processing

Data is processed under one or more of the following lawful bases:

If you are an end-user under an organization’s account, that organization is responsible for determining the lawful basis for data processing under applicable data protection laws.

All data transmissions are secured by end-to-end encryption (TLS 1.2+).
Data is stored securely in AWS Cloud Services (Amazon Web Services) using:

Multi-layer encryption
Restricted access control
Geographic redundancy within the EU/EEA

We also offer customers the option to host their own private cloud environment if required by internal policy or jurisdiction.

The 6th Sense device has no bacward communication, meaning it can not be remotely accessed or manipulated once deployed.

6. Data Retention

Operational and sensor data are retained only as long as necessary for safety monitoring and analysis.
Customers (organizations) may define custom retention periods in compliance with internal or regulatory requirements.
When data is deleted, it is irreversibly anonymized or securely erased from our systems.

7. Sharing of Data

FireCat does not sell, rent, or trade collected data. Data may be shared only with:

Authorized users or administrators within your organization
Third-party service providers (e.g., AWS) under strict cantractual confidentiality and data protection terms
Government authorities, if required by law or court order

All data processing agreements comply with GDPR Article 28 and relevant EU data protection regulations.

8. International Transfers

If data is transferred outside the EU/EEA (for example, for redundancy or system backup), FireCat ensures that adequate safeguards are in place under GDPR Chapter V, including Standard Contractual Clauses (SCCs) or equivalent protection mechanisms.
